Precision engineering workbenches | DEA

DEA industrial workbenches are revolutionizing the traditional manufacturing industry.

Let’s find out why by taking a look at this important installation for a company based in Bergamo, Italy, set up just last October.

How to set up an industrial workbench

In order to set up an industrial workbench, all the tools, equipment and materials needed for production have to be carefully organized and well-arranged. This means choosing the most efficient layout, selecting the right furniture and tools, installing all the equipment, and setting up the lighting and power supply systems. The goal is to create a safe, efficient and comfortable working environment for operators, allowing them to achieve maximum performance, and guarantee the highest product quality.

Those working with precision machinery have many different needs, particularly when it comes to milling and turning. The right choice of tools, equipment and workbenches conveys a corporate culture of precision, and minimum margins of error.

The company's needs

We were therefore contacted by this company, who needed to reorganize its workshop to optimize its industrial processes and the functionality of its industrial furnishings.

The customer had various different needs:

  • Integrated monitor and computer cables
  • Integrated tapered CNC tool holders
  • Ample storage spaces
  • Possibility of adding vices in different positions.

To respond to these needs, DEA technicians came up with detailed solutions that achieved just the result the customer wanted.

Regarding monitors, cables are perfectly integrated into the furniture, with no trace of any electric or internet cables over the work surface, while a keyboard and mouse can be stowed away in an AR-447.11 module with drawer, guaranteeing utmost practicality and efficient use of the entire surface.

As for tapered CNC tool holders, we know that blades, cutters and spindles used for component cutting can be extremely dangerous tools that must be arranged safely. The integration of a tapered tool holder rack in the furnishing composition was a real turning point for the company, which in addition to keeping employees safe, guarantees a well-ordered space, and protects the components from breakage.

We are very satisfied to have successfully completed this functional yet elegant installation, and to have been able to work closely with a company that has been in the precision metalworking market for over forty years.

DEA technicians listened to every one of the customer’s requests, and after carefully analysing the company floor plan and workflow, developed a high-performance design that exceeded the customer’s expectations.

DEA is always ready to support companies that aim to innovate. If you too want to give your industrial furnishings a makeover, contact us and tell us about the precise needs of your company!
